Eric Randolph

Eric Randolph has a keen eye for the functional beauty of architecture. With over 20 years of experience in designing iconic venues and buildings, he brings a seasoned perspective to any project. His expertise ranges typologies, and he has designed spaces for leagues and events including the MLS, MLB, NFL, the FIFA World Cup and the Olympics. Eric is a founding member of Populous’ office in Los Angeles, where he currently resides.

Sustainability is at the forefront of his design process and considered crucial for delivering high-performance spaces to clients and communities. Eric values how a structure fits into the fabric of its surroundings, and his design process includes a thorough historical, contextual and spatial analysis of a building site. A diligent and well-respected leader, Eric believes in collaboration and mentorship as necessary elements of a successful project team. He has taught architecture at global universities, exchanging perspectives to inform his own work and the work of others.

At Populous, Eric is leading multiphase renovations and improvements to BC Place Stadium in Vancouver to prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament. He is also leading the design and master plan for a new Minor League Baseball Park for the City of Ontario, California. Prior to joining Populous, Eric contributed to a wide range of notable projects, including The Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, and Hohokam Stadium & Lew Wolff Training Complex in Mesa, Arizona. He also served as design manager for three flagship MLS venues: BMO Field for Toronto FC, BMO Stadium for LAFC and Q2 Stadium for Austin FC.
