We assisted Churchill Downs with the planning that led up to the 2015 Kentucky Derby, and we strategized to improve the guest experience with respect to arrivals, crowd flow and entry.

The Populous team worked with Churchill Downs to provide site and event drawings and integrated event and operations plans for 2016. Our relationship with the esteemed track extends to other projects as well, including the design of its Starting Gate Suites, a $4.2 million renovation to the 140-year-old facility that created 20 private, open-air Winner’s Circle Suites, a remodeling of the trackside Winner’s Circle and the creation of a new courtyard to accommodate temporary premium seating for Derby week.
